Plummer created a three-dimensional model of the project site for the purpose of determining effective flood mitigation measures. The project required a survey-grade accurate model of the entire site to be tied to existing NGS flood map datum and for the impact of recent flood events to be projected onto the model. This work helped determine that the optimal solution was to relocate the entire facility to a new location, ultimately saving the owner time and money.
Plummer provided the LiDAR scanning and modeling processes to aid in the retrofit and expansion design work for the project.
